Islamabad, May 10, 2022 (PPI-OT):Due to Heat wave, day temperatures are likely to remain 07-09°C above normal in Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, while 06-08°C above normal in Sindh and Balochistan. General public is advised to take precautionary measures to avoid heat wave.
Synoptic Situation
Due to high pressure in upper atmosphere, day temperatures are likely to increase in most parts of the country.
Tuesday
Hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, while the plain areas will remain under the grip of severe heat wave conditions. Gusty/dust raising winds are also likely in southern and central plain areas of the country in afternoon.

Past 24-Hour Weather
Weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country, while very hot in plain areas. However, rain-wind/thunderstorm occurred at isolated places in Islamabad, Potohar region, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir.
