Whole country, particularly plain areas are under the grip of heat wave conditions. People are advised to take precautionary measures.

Synoptic Situation

Continental air is prevailing over the most parts of the country. A westerly wave is likely to enter western parts of the country from Sunday (evening/night).

Saturday

Hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, while very hot in plain areas. However light- rain/thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas.

Sunday

Hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, while very hot in plain areas. However light rain-wind/thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in north western Balochistan.

Past 24-Hour Weather

Weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country, while very hot in plain areas. However, rain occurred in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan and Lasbella.

Rainfall (mm): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Parachinar 06, Dir (Lower, Upper 02), Gilgit Baltistan: Astore, Gupis 02 and Balochistan: Lasbella 01.

Yesterday’s Recorded Highest Maximum Temperature’s (°C): Jacobabad, Sibbi 47, Larkana, Khairpur, Dadu, Bahawalpur and Khanewal 46.
