Synoptic Situation

A westerly wave is affecting upper and central parts of the country and likely to move north-eastwards in next 24 hours.

Friday

Rain-wind/thunderstorm with snow over hills is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, upper Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.

Saturday

Cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, light rain-wind/thunderstorm with snow over hills is expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Past 24-Hour Weather

Weather remained cold and dry in other parts of the country. However, rain-wind/thunderstorm with snow over the hills occurred in upper Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.

Rainfall (mm): Kashmir: Rawalakot 30, Garhi Dupatta 15, Muzaffarabad (City 08, Airport 05), Kotli 01, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Pattan 12, Dir (Lower 07, Upper 06), Balakot, Malam Jabba, Kalam 06, Saidu Sharif, Kakul 03, Mirkhani 02, Bannu, Cherat, Chitral, Drosh 01, Punjab: Joharabad 10, Chakwal 08, Attock 05, Rawalpindi (Chaklala 02, Shamsabad 01), Sargodha, Noor Pur Thal 02, Islamabad (Bokra, Golra, Saidpur 01) and Murree 01.

Snowfall (inches): Malam Jabba and Kalam 3.0 inches.

Today’s Lowest Minimum Temperature’s (°C): Leh -07, Malam Jabba -04, Gupis, Kalam, Skardu, Astore, Hunza -03, Pulwama, Baramulla -02, Bagrote and Shopian -01.
