Synoptic Situation

Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. However, a shallow westerly wave is also present over upper parts of the country.

Wednesday

Cold and partly cloudy weather is expected in most upper parts of the country. However, light rain/light snowfall is likely in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas today evening/night. Cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.

Thursday

Cold and cloudy weather is expected in most upper parts of the country. However, light rain/light snowfall is likely in upper Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir. Cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.

Past 24-Hour Weather

Cold and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country, while very cold in hilly areas. However, light rain/light snow occurred in Murree, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir.

Rainfall (mm): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Mir Khani, Dir 02, Drosh 01, Gilgit Baltistan: Astore, Bagrote 01, Punjab: Murree 01 and Kashmir Rawalakot 01.

Snowfall (inch): Murree 0.5.

Today’s Lowest Minimum Temperature’s (°C): Leh -10, Ziarat -08, Gupis, Kalam -05, Astore, Skardu -03, Hunza, Kalat, Quetta -02, Bagrote, Pulwama, Baramulla, Anantnag and Dir -01.
