Synoptic Situation

A westerly weather system is likely to enter western parts of the country and likely to grip most upper and central parts on Saturday/Sunday.

Friday

Rain wind-thunderstorm with snow over the hills (with few heavy falls) is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, north Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir. Fog is likely to prevail in plain areas of Punjab.

Saturday

Rain wind-thunderstorm with snow over the hills (with few heavy falls/hailstorm) is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, north Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir. Fog is likely to prevail in upper Sindh and plain areas of Punjab during night and morning hours.

Past 24-Hour Weather

Weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country. However, rain/snow occurred in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.

Rainfall (mm): Kashmir: Kotli 06, Rawalakot 04, Punjab: Murree 04, Mangla 01, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Malamjabba 02.

Snowfall (Inches): Malamjabba and Murree 01.

Today’s Lowest Minimum Temperature’s (°C): Leh -12, Kalam -08, Skardu -07, Astore, Bagrote, Parachinar-05, Hunza -04, Malamjabba, Ziarat -03, Baramulla, Shupiyan, Pulwama -02, Dir, Kalat, Chitral and Drosh -01.
