Synoptic Situation

A westerly weather system is likely to enter western parts of the country on Friday and may grip most upper and central parts on Saturday/Sunday.

Thursday

Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, light rain/snow is expected in Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas. Dense fog is prevailing in plains of Punjab.

Friday

Rain-wind/snow (with few heavy falls) is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, north Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir. Fog is likely to prevail in upper Sindh and plains of Punjab.

Rain/snow occurred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper and central Punjab, north Balochistan, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan. Cold and dry weather prevailed elsewhere in the country.
