Islamabad, May 19, 2023 (PPI-OT): Islamabad Capital Police Lohi Bher police team arrested a wanted member of a snatcher gang involved in snatching activities and recovered a mobile phone and arm with ammunition from his possession, a police public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directions, a Lohi Bher police team used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending a wanted member of a snatcher gang involved in snatching activities. The accused was identified as Amjad Ali.
Police team also recovered mobile phones and arm with ammunition from his possession. Case was registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
CPO/DIG Operations Islamabad Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in criminal activities and ensured the safety of lives and property of citizens on priority basis.
