Wani Criticizes Modi Government over Handling of Jammu and Kashmir Issues

JAMMU, Vikar Rasool Wani, the President of the Indian National Congress in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, has spoken out against the Modi-led government, claiming it has adversely affected the region in its pursuit of power.

According to a news release by Kashmir Media Service, Wani shared these thoughts during a review meeting in Banihal, Ramban. The gathering focused on discussing a multitude of issues, notably unemployment and the absence of progress in development.

Wani voiced his concerns about the BJP-led government’s approach to Jammu and Kashmir, alleging that the territory has been deprived of its democratic rights. He contended that this approach not only hinders the developmental processes but also pushes the inhabitants into adverse circumstances.

Additionally, Wani called upon the Election Commission of India, emphasizing the need to conduct Assembly and other regional elections in the territory prior to the Lok Sabha elections, underscoring the importance of representation and democracy in the region.
