Islamabad, August 03, 2023 (PPI-OT): A two-member delegation of Association of World Election Bodies (A-Web) visited the Election Commission of Pakistan yesterday to know about the working of Election Commission of Pakistan and to invite Election Commission for General Assembly meeting of the Association next year in Colombia.

Senior officers of different Wings of ECP briefed the delegation about the role, functions of ECP, conduct of elections, local government elections, IT innovations, Strengthened Monitoring of Elections, gender mainstreaming initiatives, and over all preparedness for elections. World Body delegation showed keen interest in ECP working and emphasised upon ECP to participate in Colombia meeting being a member of Association of World Bodies. Shields of honor were also exchanged in the end of meeting.
