Visa Partners with Pakistan to Enhance Payment Systems and Financial Inclusion


Washington DC: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Mr. Muhammad Aurangzeb, recently met with Mr. Andrew Torre, Regional President for Visa, to discuss ongoing and future collaborations aimed at modernizing Pakistan’s payments ecosystem and promoting financial inclusion.



According to Press Information Department, the Minister lauded Visa’s efforts in supporting domestic payment services, such as 1Link, and their role in advancing financial inclusion through various initiatives. Notably, Visa’s partnership with Meezan Bank to launch the Financial Inclusion Card was highlighted as a significant step forward. Both parties emphasized the need for expanding routing choices for clients and ensuring equitable conditions for domestic transaction processors.



The commitment from both Visa and the Pakistani government underscores a shared goal of enhancing the financial infrastructure to support entrepreneurs and further integrate the Pakistani economy with global markets.
