Srinagar, The Indian National Congress has said that the Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has brought the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to the brink of destruction.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Congress President in occupied Kashmir, Vikar Rasool, talking to media persons in Srinagar said the BJP is ignoring the sufferings of the people of the occupied territory.

He maintained that nine years have passed since the last election was held in Jammu and Kashmir. He said the BJP is holding various events to befool the people.

“The last election was held in November 2014, and this month marks completion of nine years. We are now in the 10th year with no election in J&K while the terms of ULBs (Urban Local Bodies), Panchayats, and Municipalities have also ended. The BJP has brought J&K to the brink of destruction,” he asserted.
