Islamabad, August 05, 2022 (PPI-OT):Vice Chancellor of Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE) and his team also met Chairman Capital Development Authority at CDA headquarters on Thursday. During the meeting, it was discussed that due to high traffic pressure on the roads and lack of effective parking arrangements, citizens face problems like traffic jams. In this regard, paid parking plazas will be constructed in the areas where there is more traffic and parking problems.

In this regard, the plaza to be built in the blue area will be started as a test case. Before implementation, all stakeholders including the business community will be taken into confidence. Later it will be implemented in other areas also. These measures will not only increase revenue but also help in better handling of parking management. Chairman CDA appreciated the proposal given by PIDE during the meeting and the response to it and asked that this proposal should be implemented immediately.
