Veteran Journalist and Former KMS Senior Editor Ziauddin Butt Dies in Islamabad

Islamabad, Ziauddin Butt, a noted journalist and former senior editor of the Kashmir Media Service (KMS), has died in Islamabad after a prolonged illness at the age of 88. Butt, renowned for his career in journalism, also served as the senior editor and controller of news at Pakistan Television (PTV).

According to Kashmir Media Service, Ziauddin Butt’s career spanned several years at KMS, where he made significant contributions. He was also known for his various roles at PTV news, including as Senior News Editor for Khabarnama and Controller News. His long and distinguished career in journalism marked him as a respected figure in the media community.

The staff of Kashmir Media Service expressed their profound grief and sorrow over the demise of Ziauddin Butt. In their remembrance, they offered prayers for the departed soul, asking Allah Almighty to grant eternal peace to Butt and courage to his family to withstand this irreplaceable loss.
