Islamabad: US Congressmen Michael Baumgartner and Ryan Zinke have expressed support for Pakistan’s expanding diplomatic activities in regional peace initiatives, including its mediation efforts between the United States and Iran.

According to Radio Pakistan, during their visit to Islamabad, Congressman Michael Baumgartner acknowledged Pakistan’s constructive involvement in diplomacy between the United States and Iran, as well as its contributions concerning Gaza. The congressmen noted that relations between Pakistan and the United States are poised to strengthen.

Baumgartner also mentioned the growing ties between the people and businesses of the two nations, indicating a shift in the relationship’s focus beyond traditional security concerns.

Congressman Ryan Zinke emphasized the importance of strong communication among US President Donald Trump, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, expressing confidence in the current strength of bilateral relations.
