US Charge d’Affaires and Commerce Minister Discuss Enhanced Trade Initiatives


Islamabad: US Charge d’Affaires, Ms. Natalie A. Baker, met with Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, to explore ways to bolster bilateral trade and investment. The meeting focused on potential areas of cooperation and future opportunities between the United States and Pakistan.



According to a statement by Press Information Department, the Commerce Minister extended congratulations to Ms. Baker and the US government on the recent transition of power. He expressed hopes for strengthening bilateral relations in the years ahead.



Both parties reiterated their commitment to enhancing mutual trade and fostering collaboration in significant economic sectors. The discussions emphasized expanding ties in agriculture, particularly in value-added textiles and agricultural products. Opportunities in the cotton industry were also a focal point.
