ISLAMABAD, As the continental air settles over the majority of the country, forecasters predict dry weather for most regions. However, the upper areas, specifically upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan, are poised to see a mix of rain and snowfall in the coming days.

According to National Weather Forecasting Centre, a westerly wave is anticipated to touch the upper regions today. This week, on both Wednesday and Thursday, the majority of the country is set to experience predominantly dry conditions. Yet, the northern parts, especially upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan, will have cold and partly cloudy weather, punctuated by sporadic rain and snowfall over the mountains.

Reflecting on the past 24 hours, the weather remained dry for most of the country with noticeably colder temperatures in the northern regions. Notably, today’s recorded minimum temperatures dipped to -02°C in Leh and 00°C in Skardu.
