Aligarh, July 29, 2022 (PPI-OT):Upper caste Hindus attempted to strip a 38-year-old Dalit woman in Aligarh district of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The victim said that she was informed about a clash between her sons and some upper caste Hindu men over watering their field.
“When I reached there, I requested them to leave my sons as they were thrashing them but they did not listen to me and one of them tried to strip me by ripping off my clothes and also abused her,” the victim said. However, she and her sons managed to escape. The police registered an First Information Report at Harduaganj police station in Aligarh district against the four people and arrested them.
