Srinagar: Residents of Ganderbal district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir are grappling with severe power outages as unscheduled power cuts and overloaded transformers continue to disrupt daily life.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the residents of Gund, Gagengar, Kulan, Kangan, and Lar areas have reported ongoing power failures as the harsh winter season sets in. Locals have expressed growing frustration over the erratic electricity supply, which has been a constant source of inconvenience.
With temperatures dropping, electricity outages have become a daily struggle for the people, who said that “electricity is playing hide and seek.” The frequent power cuts have caused significant hardship, especially with many areas heavily dependent on electricity for heating and other essential services.
The overburdened transformers, which often fail to cope with the increased demand, have exacerbated the crisis, leaving residents to endure hours of darkness and discomfort. The ongoing power shortage has further compounded the already difficult living conditions faced by the people of Ganderbal.
