Srinagar, December 28, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, an elderly under-trial prisoner has died in Kupwara district. Indian police claimed that the 75-year-old under-trial prisoner, Mohammad Maqbool Khan, fell severely ill on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday and he was taken to sub-divisional hospital Kupwara where he died.
Mohammad Maqbool Khan has been in the district jail Kupwara since August 2022 and his three sons are also under custody in the same case lodged in a police station against them. Meanwhile, four members of a family identified as 35-year-old Noor Jahaan, her son Zafar Ahmed (12) and daughters Shahiza Bano (8) and Aasiya Bano (5) died due to asphyxiation after inhaling smoke from a coal heater in remote Chak Narwah village in Ramban district of Jammu region.
