Lahore: Under-training Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) from the Sindh Police visited the Central Police Office in Lahore as part of a specialized training course organized by the National Police Academy. The visit provided an opportunity for these officers to engage with Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar.
During the meeting, IG Punjab discussed the officers’ training and field experiences, emphasizing the importance of modern policing, technology, and administration. The officers briefed IG Punjab on their observations and experiences, covering various administrative and operational aspects encountered during their training.
The visiting officers received insights into the workings of different branches, including Welfare, Discipline, Finance, Operations, and Investigation, highlighting the significance of gaining experience in both office management and fieldwork.
IG Punjab underscored the necessity for young officers to be proficient in these areas to perform effectively in leadership roles. He expressed confidence that the under-training officers, upon completing their course, would exhibit commendable performance in their careers.
He further stressed that practical awareness and skills in urban and rural policing are crucial for effective crime prevention and public service delivery. The officers expressed gratitude to IG Punjab for the guidance, considering it a valuable asset for their professional development.
