Under-Training Officers Explore AI and Surveillance at Islamabad Safe City

Islamabad: A delegation of under-training officers from Pakistan’s Management Services Wing visited Islamabad Safe City to examine its advanced surveillance and artificial intelligence systems. The visit, part of a program aimed at enhancing public sector excellence through AI, highlighted the role of technology in public safety and crime prevention.

The delegation, welcomed by SSP Safe City Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, toured various key facilities including the Command and Control Center, Data Hub Unit, and the Police Operations Center Hall. They received a thorough briefing on the Safe City project’s operations and benefits.

Officials emphasized the integral role of modern techniques in multiple departments, such as the Police Operations Center, Emergency Control Center, and E-Challan System. The “Pucar-15” helpline and Dispatch Control Center were also spotlighted for their contributions to public safety.

Advanced surveillance cameras, including face recognition technology at entry and exit points, were showcased for their effectiveness in identifying suspicious individuals and enhancing security measures.

The visiting officers commended the Islamabad Police for their technological advancements and expressed gratitude to Dr. Iqbal and his team for organizing an informative visit.
