Lahore, June 11, 2023 (PPI-OT): On the instructions of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, a special ceremony was organized in the Central Police Office in honor of the officers who were promoted to the rank of Inspector. 20 officers of Faisalabad region and 22 officers of Sheikhupura region were given new ranks. Inspectors’ families were specially invited in the honouring ceremony.
IG Punjab congratulated the inspectors on the departmental promotion and directed them to perform their duties diligently. He said that departmental promotion and increase in rank is actually a reflection of increase in responsibilities, so all officers should make more hard work, duty and spirit of service as their motto to face the challenges of new position. Dr. Usman Anwar instructed that as the best commander, spend more time with subordinates, take care of their needs, guide them in every possible way for good performance. IG Punjab directed to serve and protect the country and nation with good morals, good behaviour and spirit of service.
IG Punjab further said that during the last four months, record promotions were given in every rank and field formations, this journey of promotions would continue. Dr. Usman Anwar directed that the real benefits of these promotions should be conveyed to the people through high efficiency, better behaviour and prevention of crime by becoming a leaden wall between oppressors, dacoits, bandits, drug peddlers, rogues and the public. Additional IG Establishment Raja Riffat Mukhtar, Additional IG Welfare Punjab Riaz Nazir Gara, Additional IG Investigation Sultan Chaudhry, Additional IG Operations Shahzada Sultan, DIG Headquarters Humayun Bashir Tarar, DIG IT Ahsan Younus, DIG Welfare Ghazi Salahuddin and other officers were also present.
