Islamabad: United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has expressed his appreciation for Pakistan’s role in facilitating the Islamabad talks, highlighting the efforts of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar in advancing regional peace.
According to Radio Pakistan, Guterres conveyed his commendation during a telephone call with Dar, emphasizing the United Nations’ full support for Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to promote dialogue and diplomacy for peace and stability in the region. Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to these diplomatic endeavors.
