UN General Assembly Unanimously Adopts Pakistan-Sponsored Resolution on Right to Self-Determination

Karachi, The United Nations General Assembly has unanimously adopted a resolution, sponsored by Pakistan, focusing on the Universal Realization of the Right of Peoples to Self-Determination. This significant resolution underscores the importance of this right for people living under foreign occupation, colonial domination, and subjugation, and calls for an end to such conditions.

According to Radio Pakistan, the resolution reinforces the international community’s unwavering support for the right to self-determination, particularly for those under foreign occupation. It strongly condemns acts of foreign occupation, intervention, and aggression, urging responsible states to cease these acts immediately. The resolution highlights the pivotal role of self-determination in the effective guarantee and observance of human rights and stresses its importance for the preservation and promotion of these rights.
