UMF condemns illegal action against Madrasahs in India

Hyderabad, September 08, 2022 (PPI-OT):The United Muslim Forum in India has condemned the illegal actions against religious madrassas in BJP-ruled states. The leaders of the forum, Maulana Rahimuddin Ansari, Maulana Syed Shah Ali Akbar, Nizamuddin Hussaini Sabri, Maulana Syed Muhammad Qubool Badshah Qadri, Maulana Amir Qutbuddin Ali Chishti, Maulana Jamal ur Rehman Miftahi and others said in their joint statement that Assam and Uttar Pradesh buildings of religious madrasas are being demolished simply by making accusations.

They said that many religious schools have been demolished in Assam so far. They added that the building of the educational center of Bongai village of Assam was demolished without any reason. Similarly, they deplored that bulldozers were driven on the Madrasas located in Mori village and the adjoining residences, while these Madrasas are playing an important role in character-building of the citizens.

They said that the residences which were demolished were working as relief centers regardless of religion during the flood and called for an immediate stop to the nefarious action against religious madrassas in Assam and Uttar Pradesh, calling it against the Constitution.
