London, May 24, 2023 (PPI-OT): Paul Bristow, a member of the British Parliament from the Conservative Party, while expressing his concern about the ongoing Kashmir conflict in the south Asian region has called for giving the Kashmiri people their right to self-determination to end the decades-old dispute.
Sharing his thoughts through a video message, Paul Bristow said Kashmir has been a disputed territory since 1947. Referring to the G20 Tourism Working Group meeting hosted by the Indian government in Srinagar, the Conservative Party MP said, “I think this is the perfect time for the British government to raise issues of human rights abuses and self-determination for the Kashmiri people.”
In this regard, the British parliamentarian said he has tabled a series of written questions about this, adding, “I hope the British government takes these questions very seriously.” Paul Bristow further said, “I hope soon we can have an end to one of the oldest disputes in the world, and we get self-determination for the Kashmiri people.”
