UK Firm Delivery Associates Commits to Bolster Pakistan’s Economic Development


Islamabad: In a significant move to boost Pakistan’s economic framework, UK-based Delivery Associates has pledged to enhance its bilateral cooperation with the country. This commitment was voiced by the firm’s Founder and Chairman, Sir Michael Barber, during a meeting with Pakistan’s Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, focusing on shared strategic objectives and sustainable growth.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Sir Michael Barber lauded Pakistan’s Federal Budget for the fiscal year 2024-25 and its recent taxation reforms. The discussions revolved around reinforcing Pakistan’s economic plan, acknowledging the challenges and mapping out the priority areas for further cooperation.



During the meeting, Finance Minister Aurangzeb detailed the government’s key priorities, including taxation reforms, energy sector adjustments, and the restructuring of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs). He also emphasized the structural reforms under the International Monetary Fund (IMF) program, with initiatives designed to boost exports, attract foreign direct investment, and advance privatization efforts. Further, the Minister highlighted efforts towards an export-led growth strategy and the digitalization of the Federal Board of Revenue, aimed at enhancing transparency and broadening the tax base.



The collaboration between Delivery Associates and Pakistan aims to build on previous efforts and deliver substantial progress towards achieving economic stability and growth.
