UK Doubles Investment in Pakistan for Climate Resilience Enhancement

Islamabad, The United Kingdom has announced a doubling of its investment in Pakistan to address climate change challenges, enhance climate resilience, and promote adaptation. This commitment was declared by British High Commissioner Jane Marriott during a celebration of King Charles’ 75th birthday at the British High Commission in Islamabad.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, High Commissioner Marriott aligned this commitment with the UK’s advocacy for a ‘Loss and Damage’ fund at COP 28, aimed at assisting climate-vulnerable countries. She emphasized the urgency of addressing climate vulnerabilities, especially in Pakistan, reflecting on King Charles’ environmental sustainability advocacy.
