UK-based Pakistanis, Kashmiris effectively highlighting Kashmir dispute

Bradford, July 31, 2023 (PPI-OT): Prominent Kashmiri leader and head of the Institute of Peace and Development (INSPAD), Dr Sardar Muhammad Tahir Tabassum has said that Pakistanis and Kashmiris living in Britain also play an effective role in highlighting the Kashmir dispute. Dr Sardar Muhammad Tahir Tabassum was speaking on the occasion of a dinner given in his honour by renowned social leader Mohammad Rafiq Sehgal, Manager Khidmat Center in Bradford.

The Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Self-Determination Movement International, Raja Najabat Hussain, educationist Dr Muhammad Ali prominent leader of Conservative Party Dr Owais Rajput, social figure Aslam Chaudhry, senior Kashmiri leader Sardar Abdul Rehman Khan, Prof Hafiz Sarfraz Ahmed, Haji Nazir, Haji Mushtaq and Harry Buta were present on the occasion.

Dr Tahir Tabassum said leaders who have been doing successful diplomacy for half a century have a more prominent role than embassies and ambassadors. The services of elected representatives of Pakistanis and Kashmiris in the UK are also commendable and the government of Pakistan should encourage them.

He said the United Kingdom has created the Kashmir dispute and the British government and policy makers should play a role in resolving it and also to end Indian oppression in occupied Kashmir. Sardar Tahir Tabassum congratulated Raja Najabat Hussain on conferment of Satara Pakistan by the Government of Pakistan and appreciated his tireless efforts which he has been doing for a long time. The leaders also highly appreciated the services of INSPAD for peace, human rights and religious harmony and praised the efforts of Sardar Tahir Tabassum.
