Rahim Yar Khan: The United Arab Emirates has expressed a strong interest in building partnerships with Pakistan in the mining, minerals, and agriculture sectors. This interest was conveyed by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, during discussions with Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, on Sunday.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting between the two leaders in Rahim Yar Khan focused on enhancing economic, political, and cultural ties. Discussions covered various topics, including economic collaboration, regional stability, climate change, and promoting mutual interests globally. The UAE’s President emphasized the significance of longstanding partnerships between the two nations and highlighted the importance of people-to-people connections and shared prosperity.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan acknowledged the progress in Pakistan’s economy under Prime Minister Sharif’s leadership and expressed appreciation for its stabilization efforts. In response, Prime Minister Sharif praised the UAE’s leadership and its pivotal role in Pakistan’s development and investment sectors.
Prime Minister Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s readiness to expand collaboration in renewable energy, technology, trade, infrastructure, and skill development. He also expressed gratitude for the UAE’s consistent support, especially in humanitarian aid and development assistance.
Both leaders confirmed their commitment to peace and progress in the region, agreeing to work closely on shared interests. The meeting concluded with a joint resolve to strengthen cooperation in priority sectors, aiming for a prosperous future for both countries.
