Islamabad: A delegation of the United States Congress, led by Jack Bergman, along with Thomas Souzzi and Jonathan Jackson, met with General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, to discuss regional security and defense cooperation. The meeting underscored mutual respect and shared strategic interests between the two nations.

The discussions focused on regional security issues and the importance of defense cooperation. Both parties emphasized the need for sustained engagement, highlighting the values and strategic interests that align the United States and Pakistan.

The U.S. lawmakers praised the Pakistan Armed Forces for their efforts in combating terrorism. They recognized Pakistan’s significant contributions to regional peace and stability, as well as the resilience and potential of its people.
