U.S. Calls on Taliban Government to Block Terrorist Activities from Afghanistan

Washington DC, The United States government has formally called upon Afghanistan’s interim Taliban administration to take decisive action to prevent the launch of terrorist activities from its territory. This appeal comes amid concerns over regional stability and the security of international interests.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a routine press briefing in Washington, Principal Deputy Spokesperson of the U.S. State Department, Vedant Patel, articulated the U.S.’s position on the recent violent incidents in the region. Patel expressed sorrow over the casualties and injustices resulting from the attack in Pakistan and emphasized the necessity for dialogue to resolve tensions. He further stressed the U.S. commitment to ensuring Afghanistan does not revert to being a sanctuary for terrorist entities aiming to target the U.S. and its allies.

The spokesperson also noted ongoing communications between the U.S. and Pakistan, focusing on Afghanistan-related concerns. These dialogues encompass counterterrorism efforts and bilateral consultations, aiming to foster a coordinated approach to the challenges emanating from Afghanistan’s current political landscape.
