U.S. Ambassador Outlines Strengthened Ties and Comprehensive Initiatives with Pakistan at ISSI Seminar

New York: At a seminar hosted by the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI), U.S. Ambassador Munir Akram detailed the multifaceted relationship between the United States and Pakistan, emphasizing the broad spectrum of cooperative initiatives that span economic, security, and cultural sectors. Speaking at the event convened by the Permanent Mission of Tajikistan in collaboration with UNEP and IUCN, Ambassador Akram highlighted the enduring partnership that has adapted and grown despite various challenges over the decades.

According to Embassy of the United States of America, Ambassador Akram’s address at the seminar underscored the strategic importance of the U.S.-Pakistan relationship not only to both nations but also to regional stability. He outlined significant U.S. contributions to Pakistan’s development, including economic investments and efforts in education and healthcare, which have been pivotal in fostering sustainable growth and stability in Pakistan.

Ambassador Akram also pointed to the U.S.-Pakistan Green Alliance, a framework aimed at addressing contemporary challenges such as climate change, water management, and sustainable agriculture. He noted that initiatives under this alliance are crucial for promoting long-term environmental resilience and economic prosperity in Pakistan.
