Islamabad, U.S. Ambassador Donald Blome met with Pakistani Opposition Leader Omar Ayub Khan to discuss ongoing support for economic reforms, human rights, and regional security issues, underscoring the importance of bilateral cooperation.
According to Embassy of The United States of America, the discussions covered a wide array of topics crucial to enhancing the bilateral relationship between the two countries. Ambassador Blome emphasized the U.S.’s commitment to support Pakistan’s efforts in engaging constructively with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on its reform program. He also highlighted the shared interests between the U.S. and Pakistan, particularly in accelerating initiatives like the Green Alliance framework to address climate change challenges.
