Panaji, August 22, 2021 (PPI-OT):Two Russian women were found dead at their residences in a beach village in North Goa, India. Alexandra Djavi, 24, was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her rented place and the body of her 34-year-old compatriot, Ekaterina Titova was recovered from her apartment, a senior police official said.
The investigation conducted so far has revealed that the two deceased women were not linked to each other, the official added. The FIR was registered in Chennai in 2019, after Alexandra Djavi accused a photographer of harassing her for sexual favours.
The lawyer for the Russian consulate in Mumbai said that she was previously harassed in Chennai by a photographer for sexual favours. The Goa-based lawyer, Vikram Varma also said that the post-mortems on the remains of Djavi, as well as 34-year-old Ekaterina Titova who was also found dead in her rented apartment in a separate incident, would be conducted in presence of Russian consular officials soon.
