Two civilians martyred, one injured in LOC firing by Indian forces

Rawalpindi, June 24, 2023 (PPI-OT): Two civilians embraced martyrdom and a civilian was injured when Indian troops resorted to unprovoked firing onto a group of shepherds in the Sattwal Sector across the Line of Control (LOC), a press release issued by Inter Services Public Relations said. The ISPR in a statement said, “Today, at 11:55 hours, Indian Army, in a display of its usual inhumane approach towards innocent Kashmiris, opened indiscriminate fire onto a group of shepherds in Sattwal Sector.

In Indian Army unprovoked firing, today, while adopting an inhumane approach towards innocent Kashmiris at Sattwal Sector, two civilians have embraced martyrdom while one remains critically injured, it said. The martyrs included Obaid Qayyum, age 22 years and Muhammad Qasim, age 55 years. Both were residents of Village Bara Dari Tetrinote, Tehsil Hajira, Poonch district.
