Bhopal: Two women constables from the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) are currently missing from their training academy in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The constables have been unaccounted for over a month, prompting an extensive investigation involving multiple states.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the missing personnel are identified as Akanksha Nikhar from Jabalpur and Shahana Khatoon from Murshidabad, West Bengal. They have both been part of the BSF’s Tekanpur academy in Gwalior since 2021 and were last seen on June 6, 2024. The investigation into their disappearance has intensified following the discovery of suspicious activity on their mobile phones. Authorities are scrutinizing phone and CCTV footage to trace their movements, which indicate they were in locations such as Delhi, Howrah, and Behrampore near Murshidabad.
Efforts to locate them are ongoing, with the families cooperating closely with the police. The BSF has also issued alerts along international borders to aid in the search. The investigation continues to focus on understanding the reasons behind their travels and ensuring their safety.
