Two Bodies Found in Separate Incidents in Jammu and Kashmir


Jammu: In separate incidents in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the bodies of an elderly woman and a young man were recovered from rivers in Poonch and Rajouri districts, respectively.



According to Kashmir Media Service, the body of Fatima Bi, an elderly woman who had been missing since August 31, was discovered in a river in the Dingla area of Poonch district. Following her disappearance, her family filed a missing person’s report at the Poonch Police Station and had been actively searching for her. The body was handed over to the family after legal procedures were completed, allowing them to perform the last rites.



In a separate incident, the body of 23-year-old Mohammad Yasir was found in a local river in the Manjakote area of Rajouri district, following a four-day search. Reports confirmed that he had accidentally drowned in the river on August 30, 2024.



Additionally, the region experienced a cloudburst in the upper reaches of Banihal, which triggered flash floods. A helper working with an L and T machine was swept away by a rivulet in the Banihal area of Ramban district, resulting in his death.
