Turkiye Shows Interest in Economic Joint Ventures with Pakistan

Islamabad, Turkiye has signaled its interest in pursuing joint economic ventures in Pakistan. This was conveyed by the Ambassador of Turkiye to Pakistan, Mehmet Pacaci, during a meeting with Tahir Javed, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Investment, held in Islamabad.

According to a news release by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ambassador Pacaci expressed Turkiye’s enthusiasm in bolstering its investments in Pakistan, highlighting key sectors such as mining, appliances manufacturing, paper products, pharmaceuticals, and within the Special Economic Zones clusters. Additionally, Pacaci mentioned the eagerness of 46 Turkish contracting firms to boost their investment presence in Pakistan, emphasizing opportunities in infrastructure investments and potential collaborations in the construction domain. Responding to the Ambassador, SAPM Tahir Javed articulated Pakistan’s receptiveness to Turkish investment and underscored the avenues ahead to enhance bilateral relations between the two nations.
