Islamabad: The Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Pakistan, H.E. Irfan Neziroglu, met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House. The Prime Minister welcomed Ambassador Neziroglu, who presented his credentials on October 28, 2024, and expressed anticipation for close cooperation to enhance the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Türkiye.
According to Press Information Department, the Prime Minister acknowledged the historic and longstanding ties between the two nations and expressed gratitude for Türkiye’s consistent support to Pakistan on the Kashmir issue. He affirmed that Pakistan would continue to support Türkiye on its core interests. The meeting also covered the regional situation, particularly in Gaza and the Middle East.
Prime Minister Sharif conveyed his greetings and best wishes to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and reiterated his invitation for an official visit to Pakistan. He expressed satisfaction with the growing cooperation in trade, investment, and defense between both countries and emphasized the need for further deepening these ties. Ambassador Neziroglu thanked the Prime Minister for his warm reception and assured his commitment to strengthening the bonds of friendship between Türkiye and Pakistan.
