Islamabad: H.E. Gen Metin Tokel, the Commander of the Turkish Land Forces, met with Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Defence, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, in Islamabad. The meeting underscored the enduring relationship between Pakistan and Türkiye, characterized by shared history and mutual trust.

According to Press Information Department, the Turkish Chief of Land Forces praised Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and stability. He highlighted the significance of the Pakistan-Türkiye High-Level Military Dialogue Group as a vital mechanism for enhancing defence, military, and industrial cooperation between the two nations. The visiting official reiterated Türkiye’s commitment to regional peace, stressing the importance of collaborative efforts.
