Turkish Ambassador Bids Farewell, Reaffirms Strong Bilateral Ties with Pakistan


Islamabad: H.E. Dr. Mehmet Pacaci, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkiye, made a farewell visit to the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, today, marking the end of his tenure with a reaffirmation of the strong bilateral relations between Turkiye and Pakistan.



According to Press Information Department, the meeting highlighted the shared history, faith, and cultural ties that form the foundation of the relationship between the two countries. The discussions emphasized ongoing cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, and technical support. The Finance Minister lauded Ambassador Pacaci’s efforts in enhancing the bilateral relationship and stressed Pakistan’s dedication to further deepening these ties.



The dialogue also covered recent advancements from the Turkish trade delegation’s visit to Pakistan, which was aimed at exploring new cooperative opportunities in sectors like energy, agriculture, and technology. The Trade in Goods Agreement 2022 was acknowledged as a critical step towards achieving a bilateral trade target of USD 5 billion. Both parties agreed on the importance of expanding the trade and investment portfolio through increased Government-to-Government and Business-to-Business collaborations.



As the meeting concluded, Minister Aurangzeb expressed his best wishes for Ambassador Pacaci’s future pursuits and affirmed the ongoing friendship and cooperation between the two nations. Ambassador Pacaci reciprocated these sentiments and assured Turkiye’s continued commitment to mutual goals.
