Turbat: On Monday, key military and civilian leaders convened at a joint open court organized by the district administration of Kech and Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan to address the concerns of the residents of Union Council Sangani Sar. The session aimed to foster direct communication between public officials and local citizens, discussing various civic issues and exploring immediate solutions.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the event was attended by Colonel Ali Hanan Baig of 168 Wing Makran Scout, Major Murad Bhatti from Makran Scout Headquarters, Additional Deputy Commissioner Khalil Murad Baloch, Mayor Balkh Sher Qazi, Deputy Mayor Nisar Malang, and other local officials. The forum provided an opportunity for the public and councilors to present their issues, with discussions spanning from local governance to national security.
Colonel Baig emphasized the Pakistan Army’s commitment to national security and its readiness to collaborate with civilian bodies to promote economic stability. Additional Deputy Commissioner Baloch highlighted the open court’s role in understanding and resolving public grievances, expressing optimism about its impact on community issues. Mayor Qazi discussed initiatives to strengthen local government capabilities, including proposals to enhance Turbat’s electricity supply directly.
The session also touched on broader topics such as law enforcement improvements, electricity load shedding, and border security, with inputs from Major Bhatti and representatives from WAPDA, FC, and police. The event concluded with FC and district administration officials issuing directives to promptly address the raised concerns, underscoring a unified approach to tackling the challenges faced by the residents of Kech.
