SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: A grand tribal Jirga featuring elders from the Mehsud and Barki Tribes convened in South Waziristan, marking a significant event in the region.
According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the local tribal elders expressed their gratitude to the Pakistan Army for facilitating the return of residents to Makeen and for providing essential infrastructure for district administration and police operations. The elders lauded the sacrifices made by the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps (South) in their efforts to establish lasting peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
During the gathering, the tribal leaders reaffirmed their commitment to collaborate with security forces in the ongoing fight against Fitna al-Khwarij. They emphasized their resolve to support the security forces until the complete eradication of this threat.
The Inspector General of Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (South), who served as the chief guest at the Jirga, acknowledged the substantial sacrifices made by the tribal people in combating Fitna-al-Khwarij. He commended their unwavering support and solidarity with the security forces.
