Transparent Selection of Hajj Assistants via NTS, says Caretaker Minister Aneeq

Islamabad, In a move to enhance transparency, the selection of Moavineen-e-Hujjaj, or Hajj assistants, along with Hajj Medical Mission personnel for the Hajj 2024, is being conducted through the National Testing Service (NTS) for the first time, announced Aneeq Ahmed, the Caretaker Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during his visit to the NTS center in Islamabad, Minister Aneeq Ahmed inspected the ongoing tests for the selection process. He highlighted the significance of this new approach, noting that it marked a departure from previous methods by ensuring a transparent and merit-based selection process. The minister pointed out that, compared to last year’s 794 Hajj assistants, this year the number has been optimized to 625. Additionally, 540 doctors have been deputed for Hajj duty, emphasizing the government’s commitment to ensuring the well-being and support of pilgrims during Hajj 2024.

This development is part of broader efforts to improve the management and experience of Pakistani pilgrims during their spiritual journey to Hajj. By leveraging the capabilities of the NTS, the ministry aims to uphold the highest standards of integrity and efficiency in the selection of those who serve the pilgrims, reinforcing Pakistan’s dedication to facilitating a smooth and spiritual Hajj experience.
