Tragic Road Accident Claims Four Family Members in Handwara


Srinagar: In a heartbreaking incident last evening, four members of a family were killed in a road accident in the Handwara tehsil of Kupwara district, in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The accident has plunged the local community into mourning.



According to Kashmir Media Service, the family was traveling in a vehicle that met with a severe accident at Kanchaki in the Rajpora area of Rajwar. The victims were identified as Ghulam Rashool Bhat, his son Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat, and his daughters Shabnum Aara and Rifat Aara. Police reports suggest that the accident occurred as the family was en route to a nearby village to fetch drinking water, underlining the tragic circumstances of their journey.



The local authorities are investigating the specifics of the crash to understand better the factors that led to this fatal incident and to develop strategies to prevent future accidents in the region.
