Tragic Loss of Five Customs Officers in Ambush During Operation in Dera Ismail Khan

Dera Ismail Khan, Five officials from the Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Customs in Peshawar were killed today during an intelligence-based operation on Daraban Road near the village of Sagguu. The officials were ambushed by unknown assailants wielding automatic weapons.

According to Federal Board of Revenue, the attack occurred around 3:30 PM when the officers were conducting operations. They were caught in a sudden and severe ambush that led to their deaths. The deceased officials are Intelligence Officer Aslam Khan, Havaldar Inayat Ullah Khan, Havaldar Akbar Zaman, Sepoy Iftikhar Alam, and Sepoy Shahab Ali.

The Directorate General of Intelligence and Investigation has recognized the officers’ heroic service and their commitment to their duties under extraordinarily challenging circumstances. The Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue, Member Customs (Operations), Director General of Intelligence and Investigation (Customs), and all personnel from the Pakistan Customs Service have extended their deepest sympathies to the families of the fallen officers and reiterated their resolve to continue serving the nation with dedication.
