Tragic Fire in Meerut Claims Lives of Four Children Due to Mobile Charger Short-Circuit


Meerut, A devastating fire, sparked by a short-circuit in a mobile phone charger, resulted in the tragic death of four children in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The incident occurred when a bed, where the children were sleeping, caught fire. Despite the parents’ efforts to rescue their children, which led to them sustaining burn injuries, all four children ultimately succumbed to their injuries.



According to Kashmir Media Service, the emergency response was swift, with Meerut city’s Superintendent of Police confirming that the victims were rushed to the hospital. However, despite the best efforts of medical personnel, the children passed away one after another. The tragedy has left the family in mourning, with the mother of the children fighting for her life in the hospital, while the father is also receiving medical treatment.



This heartbreaking incident underscores the dangers associated with using substandard electrical devices and the critical importance of fire safety in the home. It serves as a grim reminder of the potential hazards of charging mobile phones with cheap chargers, particularly on soft surfaces like beds or under direct sunlight.
