Karak: A devastating incident occurred in Karak during a heavy rain spell on August 3, 2024, when a room in the house of Akhtar Naseem collapsed, resulting in the deaths of two young children and injuries to two family members.
According to Provincial Disaster Management Authority, the victims were identified as seven-year-old Azlan and one-year-old Khasman, both sons of Akhtar Naseem. Additionally, Sira Naz, the wife of Akhtar Naseem, and their eight-year-old daughter Manwa were injured in the collapse.
The PDMA has reported that this tragic event is part of a series of incidents caused by the current heavy rainfall affecting the region. Emergency services responded promptly, and efforts are ongoing to provide assistance and support to the affected family and others impacted by similar incidents during this spell of inclement weather.
