Tragedy in New Delhi: Three Civil Service Aspirants Perish in Flooded Coaching Centre

New Delhi: Today, the recovery of three bodies from the basement of a coaching center in Old Rajendra Nagar marked a tragic incident involving civil service aspirants who were caught in sudden flooding.

According to Kashmir Media Service, officials reported that the flooding occurred after heavy rains hit parts of Delhi on Saturday, leading to water rapidly filling the basement of the building that houses the coaching center. This sudden influx trapped several individuals.

Delhi Police confirmed the recovery of the bodies and informed that the families of the deceased have been notified. “The unfortunate incident took place at one coaching centre at Old Rajendra Nagar, at the conclusion of search and rescue operations, 3 dead bodies were recovered. Their families have been informed,” stated a post on X by Delhi Police, who also noted that an investigation into the incident has commenced.

The incident sparked protests today as students vocally criticized both the civic authorities and the coaching center, demanding accountability for the negligence that led to these deaths. The victims included two female and one male civil service aspirant. Several others were temporarily trapped but were eventually rescued from the flooded basement.
